BioShare, the Immune Tolerance Network's (ITN) Biomarker Sample Sharing Program, is an ITN initiative to share clinical samples collected from ITN trials with the scientific community at large for innovative research.
The ITN develops and conducts trials of novel immune tolerance therapies in type 1 diabetes and other autoimmune diseases, solid organ and islet transplantation, allergy and asthma. The ITN has stored hundreds of thousands of biospecimens from clinically well-phenotyped subjects that have participated in its trials, representing an important resource for future investigations. Samples collected from ITN trials that remain after performance of the protocol-specified assays are available for further studies through this BioShare website, the ITN's portal for sharing clinical samples with the scientific community.
The BioShare website presents information to the scientific community about ITN clinical samples, including important trial information and sample availability. To gain access to ITN samples, investigators from the scientific community are invited to submit research proposals through this website, anytime during the year.
Proposals for use of ITN samples will undergo scientific review by the ITN. Proposal submission does not guarantee its selection. Additional information on procedures for application and review can be obtained by downloading the "Request for Proposals".
We look forward to receiving your proposals.
Access to trial synopsis and its resources can be found by first creating an online account.
